Security check at the entrance to the terminals
Transport security at Gorno-Altaysk Airport is regulated by the following regulatory acts:
- Federal Law No. 16-ФЗ On Transport Safety, dated February 9, 2007
- Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 1605 On Approval of Transport Safety Requirements, Including Anti-terrorism Protection Requirements for Facilities (Areas), Taking into Account Security Levels for Different Categories of Air Transport Infrastructure Facilities, dated October 5, 2020
- Order of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation No. 34 On the Establishment of the Rules for Checks, Additional Checks, Rechecks, Observations and/or Interviews to Ensure Transport Safety, dated February 4, 2025
Ensuring transport security is one of the top priorities in the day-to-day operations of Gorno-Altaysk Airport. Special attention is given to measures aimed at protecting the lives and health of passengers, aircraft crew members and airport visitors, safeguarding airport facilities, as well as preventing and stopping the illegal circulation of weapons, explosives and other dangerous items.
For safety reasons, you will be required to have your carry-on items, baggage and personal belongings checked when entering the airport. The airport’s transport safety staff is in charge of such checks.
ATTENTION! Passengers with implanted pacemakers are not allowed to walk through the fixed metal detector gate.
These passengers are screened using a manual inspection (hand search) without technical or special equipment. To comply with checking procedures and ensure your personal safety, please inform a transport security officer about any such restrictions before undergoing checks with technical equipment.
